Our Aims and Objectives

We march to shape a new future, where fairness, integrity, and justice prevail. Carrying ‘the torch of hope’, we urge lawmakers, policymakers and regulators to address the serious systemic failures that have fuelled the surge of fraud in the UK – fraud now comprises over 40% of all crime – that’s a shockingly harsh and totally unacceptable reality, isn’t it?

Through this courageous, compelling and collective endeavour, and the subsequent activity that is being organised behind the scenes, we aim to:

  • Initiate a Call for an Inquiry:
We stand at a critical juncture in the fight against fraud and financial services misconduct. The time has come for a comprehensive public inquiry into the actions of regulatory bodies, including HMRC, The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and various other regulatory bodies, as well as law enforcement agencies such as the Police. An inquiry is imperative to uncover systemic failures, hold accountable those responsible for oversight, and ensure justice for victims. From mismanaged investigations to inadequate enforcement measures, there are glaring gaps in the current system that have allowed fraudulent activities and financial misconduct to persist unchecked. By initiating a public inquiry, we can shine a light on these deficiencies, the harm that has occurred to victims, identify areas for improvement, and pave the way for meaningful reforms that protect consumers and uphold the integrity of our financial systems and public bodies. Join us in calling for transparency, accountability, and justice for all those affected by fraud and financial misconduct.
  • Demand Fair Tax Treatment for Victims:
Victims of financial misconduct should not bear additional financial burdens. We are calling for reforms to ensure fair and equitable tax treatment, such that those who are innocent victims of financial crime and catastrophic misguiding by so-called ‘professionals’ are not treated as if they are the criminals; HMRC should treat everybody with dignity and care, in keeping with its Charter and to ensure victim’s financial security is protected.
  • Advocate for Root and Branch Reform of the FCA: The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) must undergo significant reform to enhance regulatory oversight, enforcement, and accountability. We are calling for comprehensive changes to ensure the FCA effectively protects consumers and holds perpetrators accountable.
  • Push for Criminal Justice Reforms: Reforms to the criminal justice system are essential to ensure perpetrators of financial crimes are held accountable. We believe investment fraud and associated crimes are being decriminalised. We are calling for urgent changes to improve investigation and prosecution processes and ensure increased law enforcement priority in respect of these pervasive crimes, providing justice for victims and stopping repeat offending.
  • Fight for Support & Financial Restitution: Victims of financial misconduct deserve comprehensive support and financial restitution. We advocate for expanded support services, including legal aid, financial assistance, and mental health resources, to help victims navigate the aftermath of financial wrongdoing together with an acknowledgement of past injustices and fair compensation for losses
